well, I did my gosh darn best to arrange a teeny list of suggestions!
Shudder, this is a great service for a reasonable price! The downside being that (a) they have a limited database, you won't find everything (b) lots of foreign language films are not subbed, but dubbed. So prepare for the most hilarious rendition of Argento films you'll see this side of the Atlantic. (c) their website is super buggy, sometimes I misspell a title and it comes up, then I spell it correctly and it's gone. And any other streaming service (Netflix, Hulu, Roku, etc) probably will also hook it up. This one is horror specific tho
Horror Movie Archive, this is mostly older / super cult-y B-movies. It's got a few gems but it ain't perfect. Honestly I've been lucky with just typing in the name of my favorites into the YouTube search bar and finding them nbd.
Your local library / video store! It's incredible how much you can find for free at the library, especially things like horror movies. In terms of video stores, you're going to see the most bastardized version of the DVD covers, so movies I highly recommend can look like they're fresh off the "graphic design is my passion" printing press, but don't let that deceive ya.
